The fact that Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence has not yet appeared in a comedy (apart from the fantastic comedy-drama "Silver Linings Playbook") is a bit of a scandal. After all, the actress is known for being easy-going, funny and open. Her new film "No Hard Feelings," which hit theaters June 22, finally provides proof that the 32-year-old has a flair for comedic timing.

"No Hard Feelings" with Jennifer Lawrence: That's what it's all about
The role of the self-confident, chaotic Maddie is made for Lawrence. The young woman earns her money as an Uber driver, but due to unpaid bills, her car is taken from her. In her desperate search for a job, she stumbles over a crazy ad: Helicopter parents are looking for a woman to date their 19-year-old shy son Percy (played magnificently by Andrew Barth Feldman) and bring him out of his shell – as a reward, they promise the woman a car. Because Maddie desperately needs one, she agrees to the crazy deal and tries everything to seduce Percy. But the task isn’t as easy as it seemed ...
Director Gene Stupnitsky got the idea for the film when he read a similar ad. When he later offered the lead role to Jennifer Lawrence, the actress immediately agreed. But it's primarily the chemistry between the actress and her co-star Andrew Barth Feldman that makes "No Hard Feelings" so fun. In an interview with the German outlet “TV Movie Online”, it became clear that a deep friendship has developed between the two. Stupnitsky also confirms this: "They are so good together. We tested them together and they make each other even better."
