Die Autorin Loretta hat sich seit dem Tod ihres Mannes zurückgezogen. Ihre Liebes-Romane spielen an exotischen Orten und enthalten immer auch Abenteuer. Sie wird von einem sehr reichen Mann entführt. Sie soll ihn zum Schatz der antiken verlorenen Stadt führen, von der in ihrem letzten Roman die Rede war. Ihr Cover-Model Alan, der insgeheim in Loretta verliebt ist, startet zusammen mit dem Kämpfer Jack eine Rettungs-Mission. Es gelingt den beiden, Loretta zu befreien, aber dann kommt Jack ums Leben. Nun sind Loretta und Alan auf sich allein gestellt.
