Richter, the Enigma Prokofiev's 9th Sonata was dedicated to him, he played at Stalin's funeral with Oistrakh and Rostropovitch and accompanied Schwarzkopf and Fischer-Dieskau: Sviatoslav Richter was THE Soviet pianist par excellence.
